Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions clients and experts ask most. Can't find yours? Get in touch.

1. What is ICAN?

ICAN is the unified platform where organisations run their people programmes with ICAN MENA — recruitment, expert engagements, and related work — in one place, with shared sign-on and a consistent workspace per module.

2. How do we get access?

ICAN sets up your organisation and invites your first administrator by email. That admin can then invite the rest of your team and grant each person access to the modules they need. Signing up with the invited email activates access automatically.

3. What is the Managed tier?

On the Managed tier, ICAN operates the recruitment pipeline for you. Your team sees the candidates ICAN presents for review and approves or declines each one with a note — without the noise of the full working pipeline. Self-service tiers give your own recruiters the complete pipeline.

4. How does the AI scoring work?

When a candidate is matched to a role, an AI model compares the CV against the job description and produces a structured assessment (overall match, category scores, must-haves, flags). It is decision support: a recruiter reviews it, your notes can re-weight it, and a human makes the call. Sensitive attributes like age, gender, and religion are excluded from extraction.

5. How do expert bookings work?

A client creates a project with activities, assigns experts with quantities, and books sessions from each expert's availability. The expert confirms; either side can reschedule (the expert re-confirms) or cancel with a reason, which frees the booked quota. Confirmed sessions flow to a synced calendar feed.

6. Will I get notified about activity?

Yes. ICAN emails the people who need to act — experts on new session requests, clients on confirmations and changes, recruiters on client decisions, and so on. Everyone can tune which emails they receive under Settings → Notifications; account and invitation emails always send.

7. Where is our data stored and who can see it?

Data is isolated per organisation and enforced at the database level, so one client can never see another's records. Within your organisation, access is governed by role. See the trust centre and privacy policy for detail.

8. Can we export or delete our data?

Yes. Candidate lists export to CSV, candidates can be archived (reversible) or permanently deleted on request (which removes the record, its applications, and files), and your organisation's data can be exported at the end of an engagement.

9. How do we sign in?

Sign in with your work email and password, or with Google or Microsoft single sign-on. Your administrator manages who has access.
